It's been exactly 4 years since I made London my 2nd home (before moving back to Delhi in 2014). London has a special place in my heart - the city on its own is fantastic; but this was also the city where we spent the first few years of our married life. There was hardly ever a weekend (and often weekdays) when we didn't step out - walking/ cycling (hence you'll see thinner versions of us in these pictures). People often complain about the London weather - but we didn't really mind it. The summers are lovely (everyone is happy and out on the streets), winters are dark and cold - but it's fun to bundle up and walk down the streets (having Jagerbombs along the way to keep you warm!).
The longer you stay in London (as I guess is true about any city), you discover more and more awesome places and experiences.. Through this series, I would like to share with all of you some of the places we loved and would recommend to anyone visiting the city.
First of, incase you are a tourist, recommended places to stay: Accommodation is a bit expensive in the city, but definitely stay in Zone 1 or 2 - around Hyde Park, Bayswater, Notting Hill, Chelsea, Fulham, Parsons Green, South Kensington (to name a few). Just ensure you are close to the Tube station and then the reliable and closely knit Tube network will get you to places!
The must-see sights like Tower Bridge & Tower of London, Westminster (Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey etc.), Buckingham Palace, London Eye etc. can be done easily through either one of the hop on-hop off buses, Thames river cruises or eve
